Stephanie received her PhD in English from Emory University. She is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors for Reforming Arts, a local nonprofit organization that provides a theater-infused liberal arts higher education to the individuals incarcerated at Whitworth Women’s Facility. Her research interests include contemporary literature of the African Diaspora, slavery, neo-slavery, critical race theory.

Stephanie will be begin working towards a JD at Georgia State University College of Law in the fall of 2019 in order to continue her social justice & advocacy work.
